The Alertus©, Alert Beacons are designed to serve campuses, bases, and other large facilities that do not have an in-building emergency notification system and/or cannot use a retrofit unit because the current conventional voice public address system does not integrate with the building’s fire alarm system. The latest standards from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 72-2010) point to the fact that there is no substitute for in-building emergency notification, with its reliability, localization, and intelligibility.
