Conventional Air Duct Housing with relay for Model 8854 detector
Air-duct detector housings are designed to be used with Models 8700 and 8854 series detectors. Designed for installation directly to heating, ventilating and air-conditioning duct systems, air- duct detector housings comply with National Fire Protection Association Standard No. 90A.
When equipped, the air-duct detector housing will signal the presence of smoke being carried through the duct system. Air-duct detectors are not intended to be substituted for open-area detection. Air-duct housings can be equipped with optional relays, which are utilized to operate any supplementary equipment when smoke is detected.
Up to 252 relay-equipped detectors per circuit can be used with MPC-6000 or MPC-7000 control panels.
