Description
The Digital Alarm Communicator Transmitter (DACT), P/N 10‐2528, can be used with any of Fike’s Fire Alarm and Suppression control panels (i.e., SHP PRO®, Cheetah® Xi, and CyberCat®) to provide a means to automatically transmit system status information to UL listed central station receivers via the public switched telephone network.
When used in conjunction with the Cheetah Xi and CyberCat control panels, the DACT may be mounted within the control panel enclosure or it can be mounted externally in a separate enclosure. Connection to the control panel’s RS485 communications bus and regulated 24 Vdc auxiliary power is required. The RS485 connection allows point identification of system alarm, supervisory, and trouble events to be transmitted to the receiving station. Where the receiving station is not capable of receiving point ID information, the DACT provides five (5) inputs that can be configured to transmit Fire Alarm, Waterflow Alarm, Supervisory, Monitor Alarm, System Fault, AC Failure, and Low Battery conditions to the receiving station upon activation of dry contact relay outputs in lieu of the RS485 connection.
