Description
The VESDA VSP-877 is a flush mount sampling point designed for aspirating smoke detection (ASD) pipe networks used with Xtralis VESDA systems. It provides a discrete and aesthetically improved alternative to traditional conical sampling points by allowing the sampling inlet to sit flush with the ceiling surface.
The sampling point uses a unique wing-lock mounting arrangement that allows installation entirely from the visible side of the ceiling. This design is particularly useful for installations where the opposite side of the ceiling is inaccessible, such as fixed or sealed ceiling systems. Tightening internal screws engages the wing-lock mechanism to clamp the device securely in place.
The VSP-877 supports multiple capillary tube sizes commonly used in ASD pipe networks and features a push-fit connection for secure installation. A standard 2 mm sampling hole is provided and can be enlarged up to 5 mm based on system design calculations. A removable snap-fit fascia conceals the sampling hole and allows easy cleaning or maintenance.
