Description
The Apollo 55000-227USA is a Series 65A ionization smoke detector utilizing a twin compensating chamber design with a single-sided Americium 241 radiation source. It is engineered to respond effectively to fast-burning, flaming fires and is suitable for installation in a variety of environmental conditions.
The detector operates on a two-wire circuit supplying both power and signal, and connects via terminals L1 and L2 on the mounting base. A remote LED indicator may be connected where required. The sensing chamber continuously samples air, detecting changes in ionization current caused by smoke particles entering the chamber.
This model (55000-227) is the standard ionization version without flashing LED or magnetic test option. It is UL, FM, CSFM, and MSFM approved for use in compatible conventional fire alarm systems.
