This intelligent addressable output module provides UL 1971-compliant synchronization for visual notification appliances across multiple zones on Edwards Signature loop systems. It is part of the Signature Series and its operation is determined by a downloadable personality code: Code 25 for visual signal synchronization, Code 5 for signal power or audio evacuation riser selection, or Code 6 for telephone circuits with a built-in ring-tone generator.
The SIGA-CC1S connects a supervised Class B output circuit to a supervised 24 VDC riser input for audible/visible signals, or to 25 and 70 VRMS inputs for audio evacuation speakers and firefighter telephones. It monitors the output wiring for open and short circuits, a short causes the panel to inhibit activation to prevent connection to the fault. Addresses are electronically programmed from the loop controller or the SIGA-PRO service tool; no switches or dials are required.
The module mounts to a standard North American 2-gang box (2½" deep) or a 4" square box (1½" deep) with 2-gang cover and SIGA-MP mounting plate. It is compatible with EST3, EST3X, and iO Series control panels under Signature Loop Controller version 2.0 or higher.
