The Edwards EST SIGA-COD is an intelligent carbon monoxide (CO) detector designed for use with Signature Series fire alarm systems. Utilizing advanced electrochemical sensing technology, the SIGA-COD continuously analyzes CO levels and converts analog sensor data into digital signals for precise alarm decision-making.
An onboard microprocessor evaluates sensor readings over time and applies digital filtering to reduce unwanted alarms. Continuous self-diagnostics monitor detector status and store maintenance data in non-volatile memory. When the CO sensor reaches its end-of-life (approximately 10 years), the detector signals a trouble condition to the control panel.
The SIGA-COD is compatible exclusively with the Edwards Signature Loop Controller and mounts to a variety of Signature Series detector bases, allowing flexible installation configurations including standard, relay, isolator, and sounder bases.
