The Edwards EST SIGA-OSCD is a Signature Optica Series intelligent multisensor detector that combines advanced optical (photoelectric) smoke detection with integrated carbon monoxide (CO) sensing. It uses dual optical wavelengths and multiple detection angles to differentiate nuisance particles from real combustion products, helping reduce unwanted alarms such as those caused by cooking aerosols.
The detector continuously gathers analog data from multiple sensors and processes it through an onboard microprocessor. It independently evaluates smoke and CO inputs to determine whether to initiate a fire alarm, a CO alarm, or both. Environmental compensation and self-diagnostics help maintain long-term reliability and reduce maintenance requirements.
The SIGA-OSCD is compatible only with control panels using a Signature Loop Controller and supports electronic addressing, automatic device mapping, and up to 250 Signature addresses per loop (panel dependent).
