Description
The BPS10A is a remote booster power supply designed to expand the notification appliance circuit (NAC) capacity of fire alarm, life safety, and emergency communication systems. It provides regulated 24 VDC power and supports up to four supervised NAC outputs that can also be configured as auxiliary power circuits. The unit includes internal battery charging circuitry and supports installation with internal or external standby batteries.
Each output circuit supports up to 3 A, with a maximum total system output of 10 A across all NAC circuits. The BPS10A provides four Class B NAC outputs that can be field-configured as two Class A circuits, and the outputs can operate in continuous, temporal (3-3-3), or follow-panel signal modes. The booster can also synchronize Edwards Genesis notification appliances and support coded signal operation.
Dual activation inputs allow the booster to be triggered from control panel NAC outputs or compatible control modules. Fault conditions including NAC wiring faults, battery issues, ground faults, and AC loss are indicated by onboard LEDs and reported through the unit’s sense circuits and trouble relay.
