Description
The Fike 55-041 Monitor Module is an addressable input interface designed to supervise external initiating and supervisory devices within Fike intelligent fire alarm systems. The module provides a single initiating device circuit (IDC) capable of monitoring normally open fire alarm devices or normally closed supervisory/process devices.
The module supervises both the connected device and the associated field wiring. When wired as a Class B circuit, an end-of-line resistor is used to detect open circuit conditions. Status changes and fault conditions are reported to the control panel, allowing operators to quickly identify normal operation, alarm activation, or wiring trouble conditions.
The module communicates with compatible Fike control panels using a peer-to-peer digital communication protocol, allowing faster and more reliable system response. Operating parameters are configured through the control panel programming software and stored within the module’s non-volatile memory.
A multi-color LED indicator provides local status indication: green for normal operation, red for active input, and yellow for trouble conditions. The device is designed to mount in a standard 4-inch square electrical box with a minimum depth of 2-1/8 inches.
