Description
The Fire-Lite MMF-300 Addressable Monitor Module is an intelligent interface module designed to monitor normally open dry-contact devices within addressable fire alarm systems. The module connects conventional initiating devices such as pull stations, waterflow switches, or heat detectors to an addressable signaling line circuit (SLC), allowing the fire alarm control panel to supervise and identify the status of each monitored circuit.
The module communicates with compatible Fire-Lite intelligent control panels using the LiteSpeed™ communication protocol, which improves system response time by grouping device polling and prioritizing devices reporting status changes. This communication approach enables faster response and more efficient system performance.
The MMF-300 provides a supervised initiating device circuit (IDC) that can be configured as either NFPA Style B (Class B) or Style D (Class A). It monitors the circuit for open, short, or normal conditions and reports status changes to the control panel. For Style B wiring, the circuit is terminated using the supplied 47 kΩ end-of-line resistor, while Style D wiring does not require an EOL resistor.
Each module occupies one address on the SLC loop and uses rotary decimal switches for direct addressing. A built-in LED indicator flashes during normal communication and latches steady when an alarm condition is detected. The MMF-300 is powered directly from the SLC loop and does not require additional external power.
The device mounts to a standard 4-inch square electrical box and is designed for installation in intelligent two-wire fire alarm systems. It is commonly used to integrate conventional devices into addressable Fire-Lite systems.
