Description
The ASC Fig. 06-866 swing check valve is a brass-bodied check valve designed for fire sprinkler and water distribution applications. It utilizes a full floating clapper assembly to ensure consistent sealing performance during operation.
This valve is intended to allow flow in one direction while preventing backflow, helping maintain system integrity and preventing reverse flow contamination. The floating clapper design improves the valve’s ability to clear debris from the seat area during operation, reducing the risk of fouling and ensuring reliable sealing over time.
The valve features a brass body and clapper assembly constructed to ASTM B21 standards, along with an NBR seat material that maintains a positive seal even under low residual pressure conditions. It is suitable for a range of pipe sizes and is configured with female threaded (IPS) connections for standard installation in fire protection piping systems.
