The Gamewell-FCI ATD-RL2F is an addressable thermal heat detector from the Velociti Series designed for use with compatible Gamewell-FCI analog addressable fire alarm control panels. The detector provides combined rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature heat detection, activating when the temperature rises rapidly at 15°F per minute or when a fixed threshold of 135°F (57°C) is reached.
The detector incorporates an integral communication module that enables addressable identification of each device on the signaling line circuit (SLC). Using Velociti® communication protocol, the system groups devices and rapidly identifies changes in device status, allowing response speeds up to five times faster than earlier designs.
The ATD-RL2F uses a plug-in sensor design with a separate mounting base, simplifying installation and maintenance. The detector includes a rotary address switch, magnetic test capability, and bi-color LEDs that flash green during polling and illuminate red during alarm conditions. It is suitable for a wide range of commercial fire detection applications where heat detection is preferred over smoke detection.
