The Kidde 20-9003 is an AC hardwired alarm adapter designed to allow quick connection of new Kidde hardwired alarms to existing (“legacy”) Kidde wiring harnesses without rewiring or replacing the installed harness.
This adapter simplifies retrofit installations by connecting directly to the existing Kidde harness and then into the new Kidde alarm, eliminating the need to remove or replace ceiling wiring. It is intended exclusively for use with compatible Kidde hardwired alarms and is not compatible with other manufacturers’ products.
The adapter supports interconnect configurations up to the NFPA limit of 12 smoke alarms and must be installed with AC power turned off. After installation, all interconnected alarms must be tested per manufacturer instructions.
