The Kidde COPDLG is a combination explosive gas and carbon monoxide alarm designed to provide comprehensive residential protection against natural gas leaks, propane leaks, and dangerous carbon monoxide levels. Utilizing dual-sensor technology, the alarm combines an electrochemical CO sensor with a metal oxide gas sensor to continuously monitor indoor air conditions.
In addition to standard carbon monoxide alarm thresholds, the COPDLG provides low-level CO alerts, allowing occupants to respond sooner to elevated carbon monoxide concentrations. This feature may be especially beneficial for children, elderly adults, and pets, who may be more susceptible to lower levels of carbon monoxide exposure.
The alarm features an easy-to-read backlit digital display that allows users to check alarm status with the press of a button, even in dark environments. Powered primarily through a standard 120 VAC outlet, the unit includes two AA backup batteries for operation during temporary power outages.
