Description
The Mircom MIX-2351AP is an intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke detector designed for use on compatible Mircom fire alarm control panels. The detector combines a photoelectric sensing chamber with addressable analog communication, allowing the device to transmit smoke density information directly to the control panel over the signaling line circuit (SLC). Device addresses are configured using on-board rotary switches for point identification and precise system mapping.
The detector continuously communicates with the fire alarm control panel using Mircom’s Advanced Protocol or CLIP (Classic Loop Interface Protocol) modes when supported by the panel. Dual LEDs provide status indication and can be controlled by the panel for multiple operational states such as blinking, steady, or off indications. An output terminal is also provided for connection to an optional remote LED annunciator.
The sensor is installed into a compatible mounting base (sold separately) and locks into place with a clockwise twist. The unit supports open-area detection applications and is also listed for duct applications when installed according to system requirements.
