The Notifier FST-851 is an intelligent plug-in thermal (heat) detector designed for use with Notifier addressable fire alarm control panels supporting FlashScan or CLIP protocols. It provides 135°F (57°C) fixed-temperature heat detection using advanced thermistor sensing technology in a low-profile housing.
The detector incorporates integral communication, rotary decimal addressing, and bi-color LED status indication. It mounts to a compatible separate base, allowing interchangeability with other Notifier intelligent detector types. The FST-851 is suitable for property protection applications and is UL approved for 50 ft center-to-center spacing.
The unit connects to the SLC via a two-wire circuit and does not require end-of-line resistors due to inherent loop supervision.
