The Notifier NP-200R Intelligent Photoelectric Smoke Detector is an addressable smoke detector designed for use with Notifier FireWarden Series fire alarm control panels. The detector uses an enhanced optical sensing chamber engineered to detect smoke from a wide range of combustion sources while maintaining reliable operation and resistance to nuisance alarms.
The NP-200R features remote test capability, allowing the detector to be tested from the fire alarm control panel or through compatible duct detector housings such as the DNR and DNRW series. This makes it particularly suitable for duct smoke detection applications where the detector may not be easily accessible.
Each detector communicates with the control panel over a two-wire signaling line circuit (SLC) using FlashScan or CLIP protocol communication. The device includes rotary decimal address switches that allow installers to assign a unique address, enabling the fire alarm control panel to identify the exact detector location during alarm or maintenance conditions.
The detector plugs into a compatible mounting base, simplifying installation and maintenance. Built-in LEDs provide local status indication, blinking during normal communication with the panel and illuminating steadily when the detector enters an alarm condition.
