Description
The Reliable Model C Mechanical Sprinkler Alarm is a hydro-mechanical water motor alarm designed for use with wet and dry pipe automatic fire sprinkler systems. Commonly mounted on an exterior wall, the unit provides an audible alarm signal when water begins flowing through the sprinkler system due to fire suppression system activation.
The alarm operates using a Pelton wheel mechanism driven by water flow from the alarm or dry pipe valve. As water passes through the nozzle and strikes the wheel blades, the striker assembly rotates and repeatedly impacts the gong, producing a continuous audible alarm signal for occupant notification and emergency response awareness.
Constructed with corrosion-resistant components including a cast aluminum gong and nylon bearings, the Model C is designed for long-term operation with minimal maintenance requirements. The alarm automatically resets after operation without requiring removal of covers or manual resetting of internal mechanisms.
The compact design supports straightforward installation using standard sprinkler alarm piping arrangements and accommodates varying wall thicknesses through optional extended drive shafts.
