The Siemens DPU (Device Programmer / Test Unit) is a portable programming and diagnostic tool designed to expedite installation and commissioning of Siemens addressable fire alarm devices. It electronically programs device addresses into non-volatile memory and verifies device functionality prior to installation.
The DPU is compatible with Siemens 50-point, 252-point, and 504-point addressable systems, as well as FireFinder and MXL panels. It features a menu-driven interface with a backlit LCD screen and keypad, requiring minimal training for operation.
In addition to programming detectors, the DPU can perform loop testing and ground-fault detection (AC power required for loop test mode). It supports optional label printing with the DPU-RPT accessory and includes rechargeable NiMH batteries with an AC power supply for flexible operation in the field.
