FirePrint Smoke Detector, Photo Thermal Sensing
The Siemens FP-11 is an intelligent, plug-in, two-wire addressable FirePrint™ detector designed for use with Siemens FireFinder® XLS and MXL® fire alarm control panels. It combines photoelectric smoke sensing and thermal detection with advanced microprocessor-based FirePrint technology to distinguish real fire conditions from deceptive phenomena such as cigarette smoke.
Using Application Specific Detection (ASD), the FP-11 can be programmed from the control panel to match defined hazard profiles (e.g., office, healthcare, parking garage, air duct, warehouse). Detector sensitivity, pre-alarm levels, and environmental compensation are panel-controlled, optimizing response while minimizing nuisance alarms.
The detector includes a dust-resistant, field-cleanable chamber, multicolor LED status indication, and remote testing/programming capability using the Siemens DPU or FPI-32 programmer/tester.
