Description
Designed for use with a Siemens Modular (or a FireFinder XLS) fire-alarm control panel, the Supervised Input Module or SIM-16 is a remotely located, general-purpose input module that provides up to 16 supervised input circuits for remote system monitoring. Each input can be individually programmed as supervised (dry-contact only) or unsupervised (general-purpose input). Model SIM-16 has two (2) Form C relays. Both the relays and inputs are programmed using the system programming tool, ZEUS. Model SIM-16 is mounted in an enclosure that is remotely located from the main control panel. Communication between a Model SIM-16 and a Model NIC-C is through the Control Area Network or CAN Bus. Up to 99 Model SIM-16s can be used with one (1) Model NIC-C.
