The Siemens XTRI-D Intelligent Interface Module is an addressable dual-input module designed to connect external dry-contact devices to compatible Siemens fire alarm control panels. The module allows two independent contact inputs to be monitored while using only a single address on the signaling line circuit (SLC).
This module is commonly used to supervise devices such as water-flow switches, valve tamper switches, or other normally open or normally closed dry contacts. Each input reports its status individually to the fire alarm control panel, allowing detailed monitoring of connected field devices.
The XTRI-series modules incorporate Siemens ISOtechnology, which provides built-in dual isolation functionality supporting NFPA 72 Class X (Style 7) wiring survivability requirements. This design improves fault isolation and system reliability by identifying the location of wiring shorts while maintaining communication with other devices on the loop.
The module includes a multi-color LED indicator to show operating status, trouble conditions, and alarm activity. The device mounts in a standard electrical backbox and can be programmed using a Siemens field device programmer/test unit before installation.
