SD500 Addressable Input Module
The Silent Knight SD500-AIM is an addressable input module designed for use with Silent Knight IntelliKnight fire alarm control panels (FACPs). It functions as a supervised single contact monitor for dry contact initiating devices such as pull stations, waterflow switches, and other normally open alarm contacts.
The SD500-AIM mounts to a standard 4-inch square or double-gang electrical box and includes an attractive ivory cover plate with a visible monitor LED. Using an end-of-line (EOL) resistor, it supervises wiring for alarm contact closures and open circuit fault conditions, reporting status to the FACP via the signaling line circuit (SLC).
Each module is programmed with a unique SLC loop address via DIP switches, allowing precise point identification and simplified installation. The SD500-AIM supports Class A (Style D) or Class B (Style B) contact monitor wiring configurations.
