Description

The Simplex 4098-9714 is an addressable photoelectric smoke sensor designed for use with Simplex IDNet and MAPNET II two-wire communications. Using TrueAlarm analog sensing technology, the detector digitally transmits real-time smoke data to the control unit for precise analysis and reduced nuisance alarms. This model features a 360° smoke entry design for improved detection response from any direction and built-in insect screening to help maintain sensing chamber integrity. The control panel automatically adjusts sensitivity to compensate for dust and environmental changes, improving long-term reliability. Selectable sensitivity levels include 0.2%, 0.5%, and 1% per foot for special applications, with standard operation ranging from 1.25% to 3.1% per foot depending on panel programming. The 4098-9714 is compatible with Simplex 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES, 4100U, and 4008 Series control units with reduced feature set. It mounts to compatible TrueAlarm bases and is listed to UL 268 7th Edition. Operating temperature range is 15°F to 122°F. Ideal for commercial fire alarm systems requiring intelligent smoke detection and panel-based sensitivity control.

New parts must be returned with original packaging, in un-opened, and uninstalled condition. If not, these parts may be subject to increased restocking fees or refusal.
