Description
TrueAlarm sensor bases include addressable electronics that monitor the detachable photoelectric or heat sensors at all times. The base digitizes each sensor’s output and sends it to the fire alarm control panel every four seconds.
TrueAlarm sensors use the same base, so you can swap sensor types to match each location. You can also swap sensors during construction.
When dust levels rise, install a heat sensor instead of covering a smoke sensor and taking it out of service. You do not need to reprogram the panel. The panel may show the wrong sensor type, but the heat sensor still runs at a default setting and provides heat detection at that spot.
