The Simplex 4098-9856 Sampling Tube is an HVAC duct accessory used with compatible Simplex duct smoke detector housings to draw air samples from inside ventilation ducts. The tube allows air flowing through the duct to be directed into the detector housing where smoke sensing occurs.
The sampling tube installs through the duct wall and aligns with the detector housing so that air from across the duct is collected and delivered to the internal smoke sensor. The tube contains multiple sampling holes that face into the airflow to ensure representative air sampling across the duct.
