Description
The Simplex 4906-9204 TrueAlert Addressable Strobe is a ceiling-mounted visible notification appliance designed for use with Simplex fire alarm control panels equipped with IDNAC signaling line circuits (SLCs). The device provides synchronized strobe notification for fire alarm events while allowing each appliance to be individually addressed and monitored by the control panel.
TrueAlert addressable strobes receive power, supervision, and control over a two-wire IDNAC SLC, allowing the system to supervise both the appliance wiring and the internal electronics of the strobe. This extended supervision improves circuit integrity and provides detailed device status reporting at the fire alarm control panel.
The strobe uses a multi-candela xenon flash with a synchronized 1 Hz flash rate. Light output can be set to 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela, either from the fire alarm control panel or through a rear-accessible intensity selection plug.
The housing is constructed from high-impact flame-retardant thermoplastic and is designed for mounting to standard electrical boxes without the housing extending into the box. An LED indicator provides supervision and diagnostic indication, and a built-in magnet test feature allows technicians to verify addressing and operation during system testing.
The 4906-9204 variant is the white housing model with red “FIRE” lettering, commonly used in commercial and institutional buildings where visible notification appliances are required by accessibility and fire alarm codes.
