The Simplex 49VO-APPLC is an addressable ceiling-mount visible-only notification appliance from the TrueAlert ES series. It provides visual fire alarm signaling using a synchronized multi-candela strobe and communicates over the IDNAC Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) used by compatible Simplex fire alarm control units.
Unlike conventional NAC strobes, the appliance is individually powered, addressed, and supervised on the IDNAC SLC. This allows the fire alarm control unit to identify each appliance, report its status, and control strobe intensity directly through the system interface. The device supports synchronized 1 Hz flash operation and selectable candela levels for proper coverage based on room size and application requirements.
The unit uses a rugged flame-retardant thermoplastic housing and mounts to standard electrical boxes for indoor ceiling installations. Covers are ordered separately to allow customization of color and lettering. The appliance also supports magnet testing and built-in self-test diagnostics that verify proper strobe operation and report status to the fire alarm control panel.
