Description

The VDG Vandalism Detector Guard is designed to protect smoke detectors from unauthorized tampering or vandalism. The VDG guard has been designed with airflow and UL smoke test criteria (smoldering fire).

The VDG guard allows particles to enter the smoke chamber of the detector device under normal conditions. This will ensure proper early notification of an alarm without changing the factory setting of the smoke detector device sensitivity. The rugged design provides protection to your system from tampering or vandalism in schools dormitories, prisons and public areas while maintaining a low profile and aesthetically pleasing appearance for a guard.

The VDG package includes the guard housing and all required hardware. The back box, smoke detector and detector base are ordered separately.
