The System Sensor 5601P is part of the 5600 Series mechanical heat detectors and provides a low-cost solution for property protection and non-life-safety applications where smoke detection is not appropriate.
Model 5601P is a single-circuit, normally open heat detector rated for 135°F (57°C) activation. It combines fixed temperature and rate-of-rise (ROR) detection, activating either at the fixed temperature threshold or when a rapid temperature increase of approximately 15°F (8.3°C) per minute occurs. The rate-of-rise element is restorable to support field testing.
The 5601P features a plain housing for residential-style installations and includes a reversible mounting bracket to support both flush- and surface-mount back box configurations. Upon activation, an external collector drops from the unit to provide clear visual identification of the alarmed device.
