The System Sensor B401 is a plug-in mounting base designed for use with System Sensor 400 Series conventional smoke detectors. It provides the electrical and mechanical interface required to install compatible detector heads onto conventional initiating device circuits in fire alarm systems.
The base allows quick installation and replacement of detector heads using a plug-in design, reducing service time during maintenance or device replacement. Screw terminals support incoming and outgoing field wiring connections and provide terminals for remote annunciators where required.
The B401 base supports 2-wire conventional smoke detector circuits and allows direct mounting to a variety of standard electrical boxes.
