The VESDA VSP-964-03 Smoke Detection Chamber (MK3) is a replacement sensing chamber designed for use with VESDA-E aspirating smoke detectors. The chamber forms the core sensing component responsible for detecting very low levels of smoke particles in sampled air.
In VESDA aspirating systems, air is continuously drawn through a pipe network into the detector where it passes through the detection chamber. Inside the chamber, advanced optical sensing components analyze airborne particles to identify the earliest signs of combustion. This enables very early warning fire detection (VEWFD) in mission-critical environments such as data centers, telecommunications facilities, and high-value asset protection areas.
The MK3 detection chamber is designed as a field-replaceable component to support maintenance and long-term operation of VESDA-E detectors. Replacing the chamber allows the detector to maintain optimal sensitivity and performance without replacing the entire detection unit.
