The Viking Prime Shut-off Valve (PSOV) is a spring-loaded to open, rolling diaphragm, piston operated valve. It is used to positively shut off the priming water supply to a deluge valve upon deluge valve operation. The prime shut-off valve is a required component on deluge systems utilizing “Easy Trim”, where pressure regulation and thermostatic release are not required. The Prime Shut-Off Valve is identified by a painted black spacer.
