Description
The SIGA-HRS is an intelligent heat detector that monitors ambient temperature and activates when a fixed threshold is reached or when temperature rises rapidly. It is designed for use on Edwards Signature Series intelligent initiating device loops and communicates digitally with the loop controller.
The detector gathers analog information from its fixed temperature and rate-of-rise sensing elements and processes it through an onboard microprocessor. The device compares real-time readings against historical data patterns to make alarm decisions, helping reduce unwanted alarms. In the event of loop communication failure, the detector can operate in stand-alone mode and still initiate an alarm.
The SIGA-HRS uses electronic addressing assigned by the Signature Loop Controller, eliminating mechanical address switches. It also supports automatic device mapping and maintains non-volatile memory for diagnostic and historical data. Twin LEDs provide clear visual status indication for normal polling and alarm conditions.
The SIGA-HRS is UL and ULC listed and is rated for installation spacing up to 70 ft (21.3 m), depending on applicable codes and project requirements.
