Description
The Kidde GSA-CT2 is an intelligent analog addressable dual input module designed to connect one or two Class B normally-open dry contact initiating device circuits to a Signature Series fire alarm loop controller. Each input channel can monitor alarm, supervisory, or monitor conditions from field devices such as pull stations, waterflow switches, tamper switches, or other contact-closure devices.
The module communicates with the Signature data loop and converts analog input signals into digital information for the control panel. A built-in microprocessor evaluates the incoming signals and reports alarm, supervisory, or monitoring conditions based on a configurable personality code downloaded by the loop controller during system configuration.
The GSA-CT2 requires two device addresses on the Signature loop and supports electronic addressing without DIP switches. Status indication is provided through onboard LEDs that flash green during normal operation and red during alarm or active conditions. The module mounts in a standard North American 1-gang or 4-inch square electrical box for distributed field installations.
