This dual monitor module provides two independent Style B (Class B) initiating device circuits at two separate, consecutive SLC addresses. It is designed for use on Notifier intelligent two-wire systems using FlashScan or CLIP communication protocols, and is capable of monitoring normally-open-contact fire alarm devices, supervisory devices, or normally-open or normally-closed security devices.
The FDM-1 is powered directly by the SLC loop and requires no additional external power. Each of the two IDC circuits is supervised independently, the module reports the status of each circuit (open, normal, or short) to the control panel at its assigned address pair. Addressing is set via built-in rotary switches, with the second circuit automatically assigned to the next consecutive address. A single panel-controlled LED provides visual status indication.
The module mounts to a standard 4" square electrical box or to the optional SMB500 surface-mount backbox. It is a direct functional upgrade path from legacy Notifier systems, occupying two addresses while providing dual-circuit monitoring in a single device footprint.
