The Simplex 4098-9756 is a TrueAlarm addressable duct smoke sensor housing designed to detect smoke within HVAC duct systems. It includes a factory-installed 4098-9714 TrueAlarm photoelectric smoke sensor and communicates with the fire alarm control panel via IDNet or MAPNET II communications.
This model provides a supervised relay control output for multiple remote relays and requires a separate 24 VDC fire alarm power source. One 4098-9843 remote relay is included. Relay operation is under panel control and may be activated manually or automatically in response to alarm or other programmed inputs.
The housing features a clear cover for visual inspection, magnetic test capability, diagnostic LEDs, and field-installable sampling tubes (ordered separately) to accommodate various duct widths. It is UL listed to Standard 268A for duct smoke detection applications.
