The Fiber‐Optic Multi‐Mode (FML) and Fiber‐Optic Single‐Mode (FSL) are plug‐in fiber loop modules that work as one channel to transmit or receive communications with the FIK‐NIC (Network Interface Card) ARCNET communication circuit. The FIK‐FML module allows multi‐mode fiber to connect network nodes. It features ST‐style connectors with a maximum attenuation of 8db with a 62.5/125 micrometer cable. The FIK‐FSL module allows single‐mode fiber to connect network nodes. It features LC‐style connectors with a maximum attenuation of 30db with a 9/125 micrometer cable.
