Description
The Model C control valves used on the DuraQuench systems are equipped with an impulse solenoid valve on the valve trim for electrical activation. Once active, the impulse solenoid valve is magnetically held in the open position, even with power removed. Reverse polarity voltage must be applied to the impulse solenoid to close the valve. The Solenoid Reset switch provides a reliable and straightforward means to reset the impulse solenoid valve after activation. The keyed, two‐position switch (ARMED/RESET) incorporates a spring return operator that returns to the Armed position when the key is released. The switch is wired in line with the releasing circuit connected to the Model C control valve for activation and to a 24VDC auxiliary power circuit for impulse solenoid valve reset. When activated, the switch will momentarily break both legs of the releasing circuit while simultaneously applying reverse polarity 24VDC to the impulse solenoid to force the impulse solenoid valve to close and allow the user to complete the Model C control valve reset procedure.
