Description
The Mircom MIX-M501MAP is a miniature addressable monitor module designed to interface dry-contact initiating devices with Mircom intelligent fire alarm control panels. It supervises a Style B (Class B) initiating circuit and reports status conditions such as normal, open, or alarm to the fire alarm control panel through the signaling line circuit (SLC).
The compact design allows the module to be installed inside electrical boxes or mounted behind initiating devices such as manual pull stations, waterflow switches, or conventional detectors. This makes it particularly useful in retrofit installations or applications where space is limited.
The module uses Mircom’s Advanced Protocol (AP) communication technology, which provides faster communication between field devices and the control panel. The AP protocol allows devices to operate using a grouped polling method with interrupt capability, increasing response speed and supporting larger system capacity. The module can also operate in CLIP mode for compatibility with legacy systems.
