Table of Contents

Introduction

Potter has recently announced that they are supporting a new series of notification devices. The Potter PE Series features LED horns, horn strobes, and speaker strobes that reduce power consumption by 70% and meet NFPA noise compliance standards. Speakers have a frequency range of 300 to 8000 Hz at minimal voltage, and are available in a variety of colors and lettering. Furthermore, the new series features CSFM, FM, and UL certifications. This series brings them more in line with their competitors, who have also started to adopt sleek, LED product lines as a means of lowering overall power consumption.

Potter PE Series Specifications

The PE Series has six different configurable candela settings, so you can select high or low candela ratings according to your needs. In addition, the devices use the Wheelock sync protocol to synchronize when connected to Potter fire alarm control panels. The horn sound pressure goes up to 91 dB and has intuitive sliding switches for sound and candela settings. PE series devices can utilize three horn patterns for fire and CO signaling: Continuous, T3, and T3/T4. As a final note, all of these patterns feature low and high settings to adapt to different occupancy types.

The PE series also has features to make the device user-friendly. The devices offers pre-wire and pre-test capabilities with a hinged mounting plate. Even more, wall models have a single gang design, allowing tool-free setting changes. The primary draw of this product line is efficiency and ease of use. Thus, you can reduce your power draw, while also saving on inventory by having up to 6 models in 1 appliance. The design of the PE series is sleek and modern, making this an exciting addition to our AV catalog.
