Description

The AGF PURGEnVENT Model 7910MAV Manual Air Venting Valve is designed to remove excess air from wet pipe fire sprinkler systems to help mitigate internal pipe corrosion. NFPA 13 standard requires the addition of an air vent on all wet pipe fire sprinkler systems that utilize metallic pipe. The PURGEnVENT Model 7910MAV features an internal ball float that releases excess air from the wet pipe fire sprinkler system. It is operated manually by using the ball valve. Open the ball valve when the system is being filled to vent excess air, once the system is filled close the valve. To vent air while the system is in operation, open and close the valve in rapid succession until excess air has been vented and return to the valve to the closed position. The internal strainer screen prevents debris from dislodging the ball float from its seat. AGF recommends installing the valve at the highest point in the system.
