The OSD338 Series self-diagnostic, four-wire smoke detector continuously monitors their own sensitivity and operational status, and provides a visual and audible trouble indication if they drift out of sensitivity range or fail internal diagnostics. The detector incorporates a state-of-the-art optical sensing chamber and an advanced microprocessor. The microprocessor allows the detector to automatically adjust its sensitivity back to factory settings when it becomes more sensitive due to contaminations settling in its chamber.
