The MPV and PV pressure vents are designed to fit into walls or doors with a depth of 4 inches (100 mm) to 15 inches (380 mm). For walls or doors smaller in depth, a surface mounting frame must be used to provide additional depth for mounting of the pressure vent components. The additional depth is required to prevent interference with the operation of the pressure vent blades. The frame attaches directly to the wall or door surface and provides a mounting point for the pressure vent.
