Description
The Smoke Control Card, P/N 10-2658, provides emergency response personnel with a simplistic means of verifying the status of and assuming control of the smoke control system. It provides 24 LEDs and 18 switches. Each group of three switches (“ON”, “AUTO”, and “OFF”) are interlocked to provide individual operation of a single smoke control function. The interlock is under software control so only one switch in the group is active at a given time. Each switch can be individually configured to control up to twenty-five (25) addressable relays, which can be connected to individual smoke control components (i.e. dampers, fans, etc.). The “AUTO” switch or panel reset, when pressed, returns control of the smoke control system to the fire alarm control panel. Individual switch LEDs (ON – Green, OFF – Red, NORMAL – White, FAULT – Yellow) can be programmed to follow its related switch, programmed to follow the activation of a specific device or zone, or programmed to follow a panel event. The card mounts onto the system enclosure’s dead-front door panel. Slide-in labels allow easy identification of switch functions. Communication between the host control panel and the card is accomplished via the panel’s RS485 peripheral bus. 24 VDC power for the module is provided by the host control panel or booster power supply.
