Description

The Honeywell family of automatic safety shutoff valves includes various combinations of fluid power actuators with V5055/V5097 Industrial Gas Valves. While any V5055/V5097 Valve can be paired with a V4055, V4062, or V9055 Actuator, specific combinations are optimized for common applications. These valve/actuator combinations are ideal for large gas burners requiring tight close-off and precise control of substantial fuel volumes. The valve opens when the actuator is energized and closes securely against the rated close-off pressure when power is removed. The actuator determines the firing method: V4055 for On-Off firing, V4062 for Hi-Lo-Off firing, and V9055 for Modulating firing. The V4062 and V9055 Actuators are typically paired with the V5055/V5097B Valve featuring a characterized guide for precise control and repeatability in low-fire positions. Certain valve/actuator combinations also include proof-of-closure switches with valve seal overtravel interlocks.
