Description
The Kidde Fire Systems High-Pressure Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Electric Control Head (ECH) provides remote electric and local manual operation of the agent cylinders, remote actuation cylinders or directional (stop) valves. The ECH operates electrically from a Kidde Fire Systems Aegis or Aries style suppression control panel and incorporates an integral lever, with removable locking pin, for local manual operation. The ECH contains a microswitch whose contacts break the electrical circuit to the solenoid after operating the ECH, which reduces the overall power consumption of the fire suppression system. Upon operation of the ECH, the actuating pin latches in the released position and must be mechanically reset in accordance with the applicable system manual. Kidde Fire Systems provides a loose tamper seal to be affixed through the manual lever after performing commissioning or periodic preventive maintenance in accordance with the applicable system manual.
