The ’40/40′-series air-shield device is an optional accessory that can be used with the following Siemens flame detectors: Models 40/40U-UB, 40/40L-LB, 40/40L4-L4B, 40/40M and 40/40I. Each air shield allows the installation of the detector in tough environmental conditions, such as: oil vapors, sand, dust and other particulate matter.
