Specifically, CPYEC-2-24 functions by a holding pin that sits in a latched position – without obtaining system power, and will only open upon receiving a signal from the control panel. When released, the latching solenoid opens the cylinder valve and extinguishing medium is discharged into the system. Model CPYEC-2-24, which is sold separately, fits on tanks with a top-plug diameter of 1.25 inches (3.2 cm.) A faster response time allows the Sinorix system to quickly extinguish the fire hazard.
